Attention! Do Not Use Special Characters in Labels!

When creating and naming Registers and Receipt Tapes,   do NOT use unsupported special characters.

mTotal supports Letters "A, a, B, c, etc",  Numbers "1, 13, 2014, etc" and the dash "-" character in Register names and Receipt Tape labels.

There are other special characters that can be used in Register names and Receipt Tape labels, but it is up to the user to verify they work.  If you cannot complete and "Submit" a transaction to the Receipt Tape, an unacceptable special character in the label is most likely the problem.

The dash "-" is supported to separate numbers in dates for example.

This date format is supported in Receipt Tape labels:   1-16-2014

Do NOT use the forward slash "/" in Register names or Receipt Tape labels, it corrupts the file names.

This date format is NOT supported: 1/13/2014

Remove an "Entered" Item from the Receipt Tape

If you've already "Entered" an Item to the current transaction tape and you want to delete the Item from it, tap the Item's "$ value" in the scrolling receipt tape at the far right of the screen.  This will not completely "remove" the Item entry from the transaction tape, but will re-name it "Misc" with a $ 0.00 value, basically "voiding" the entry.

Clear the Current Item in the "Smart Entry Display"

Tap the "Smart Entry Display" at the top of the screen to clear the current Item being added to the transaction and re-enter the Item if you've made a mistake, it's that simple.

If you've already "Entered" an Item to the transaction tape and you want to delete the Item from it, tap the Item's "$ value" in the scrolling receipt tape at the far right of the screen.  This removes the item from the receipt tape and clears it from memory.

Show the "$Tender" Button

If you are finished entering sold Items for the current transaction and need to enter the amount tendered or received, select the "Keypad" and input the amount then select the "$Tender" button.

If the "$Tender" button is not displayed, clear the "Smart Entry Display" first, which is located at the top of the screen, by "tapping" or selecting it.  This will clear the display of any Catagories it may be displaying so you can continue to enter the amount tendered on the "Keypad" and select the "$Tender" button to display the "Change" due.

Show the "Edit" Button

Display the "Edit" button needed to configure HotKeys, SubKeys and Add/ Delete or Edit Catagory buttons from the Register Display by selecting the "Disable Password" button from "the mTotal Options Screen".
Menu > mTotal Options Screen > Disable Password then Done > Done to return to the Register Display.

Now this "Edit" button will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.  Select the Catagory you would like to edit then select the "Edit" button and it will enable "Editing Mode".

Once in "Editing Mode", select the Hotkey you would like to configure and it's editing screen will appear.

When done editing the Hotkeys, select the "Done" button to return to using the mTotal register.  If you would like to "hide" the "Edit" button, return to the "mTotal Options Screen" and select the "Enable Password" button.  This protects your register from unwanted changes.
